Hamilton Gardens in NZ
Hamilton is New Zealand’s largest inland city, straddling NZ’s longest river the Waikato.
It normally takes about 1h 30m by car from Tauranga where we live. If you close to Hamilton, there is a Whaikato expressway that you can drive up to 110km/h. It’s quite long and straight way, and it feels like a highway in Korea. But driver might feel hard to drive due to drowsiness. I should’ve gotten a bubble gum!
At Hamilton Gardens the emphasis is on diverse types of garden design such as English Flower Garden, Italian Renaissance Garden, Modernist Garden, Te Parapara Garden, Herb Garden and so on. Entry is free and you can get a map for gardens for $2 if you want.
I guess it takes at least 1 hour and 30 minutes to look around all of gardens. It is quite good place to take a walk and take pictures. My big girl enjoys it as well.
